Hello there!
Recently, I shopped for new makeup supplies. The picture below shows some of the things that I bought and used for this post.
(L-R) Suesh 16pc brush set, Miss Bella Cosmetics blush palette, contour palette, 177 Bella palette, Revlon ColorStay pressed powder, Wet n Wild Vamp It Up & Ravin’ Raisin.
2. I first put Cinema Secrets concealer on my pimples and scars and blended it out (eye shadow brush).
3. After which, I used the Miss Bella contour palette to shape my face. The lower middle brown color was applied under the cheek bones, on the jaw line, on the temples of the face and also on the sides of the nose. This procedure is done to make the face slimmer and to define the nose by adding shadows. I used the lower left color and the upper middle color for the remaining spots in the face to highlight it (angled powder brush).
Blend it using a powder brush. Oh my annoying face lol. The picture below was taken after I have blended what was on my face.
4. I used Revlon ColorStay pressed powder to set the contours & highlights (fan brush). I find that my skin looked more flawless after this step.
5. I used the lower middle color in the Miss Bella blush palette and put in on the apples of the cheeks.
6. I put the same dark color from the Miss Bella contour palette on my eyebrows.
7. I put the taupe eye shadow on the crease and cream eye shadow on the eyelid. I used the black eye shadow on the upper lash line as the eyeliner (eye shadow brush).
8. Here's my poker face.
9. I used Wet n Wild’s Vamp It Up (left) for lining the lip and Ravin’ Raisin (right) for the lip (lip liner).

RANTS & REVIEW
This kind of make-up is a medium coverage. I think… You can certainly cover pimples and scars but not the bumpy ones. I hate those.
My skin is very oily and is very prone to excessive sweating especially because of the weather here in the Philippines. I have been using liquid foundations for quite some time now because I want to make my skin look flawless (something I have never achieved with mineral foundations or pressed powder).
The problem I have with liquid foundations is that my face feels suffocated with it. I sweat more than usual and I just feel very sticky. I find that this type of coverage is just right for me. I was able to cover everything that was unsightly for me, the foundation was not very heavy and I achieved a somewhat flawless-looking skin.
1. Miss Bella’s Contour Palette
Content: 6 colors- 2 each for contouring, highlighting, blushing
Price: 550 php
This palette is quite good (although I have nothing to compare it to). The choice of the colors were just right for my skin tone. You just need to dab the brush a couple of times on some of the colors to get the right intensity for my skin tone. Compared to much more expensive contour palettes, I think this one’s pretty cheap already. It will do for beginners.
2. Miss Bella’s 10 pc Blush Palette
Content: 10 blush colors- 3 matte, 7 shimmery
Price: 500 php
Awesome colors and very pigmented. I just wish there would have been more matte colors than shimmery ones. I highly recommend it. It’s worth it (given the price).
3. Miss Bella’s 177 Bella Palette
Content: 174 eye shadows, 3 foundations, 2 sponges, 5 eye shadow applicators, mirror
Price: 1200 php
Doesn’t this look like the most awesome eye shadow palette you have ever seen? Downside is, the colors are not that pigmented. You will have to dab it many times on your brush before getting the color of the eye shadow. Maybe if you use a good primer, it will work better. But if you want to have many colors crammed into one kit, this one is for you.
I guess if the eye shadows are very much pigmented, the price would not be this cheap.
I do not recommend this for people who are expecting to use this for photo shoots or occasions like that. Nevertheless, this palette brings me too much joy just looking at it.
I do not do intense eye make-ups so I guess this will do for me……until I have saved enough money to buy high-end, more expensive eye shadows (and put it into one container that kinda looks like this one).

Jam
LURVE IT! I THINK I WILL BUY THIS ALSO ATE JAM! =) HOHO
ReplyDeleteJaki, if you want it to be pigmented and to stay long, you should buy a white eye pencil and a primer, respectively :D
DeleteMiss Bella’s 177 Bella Palette i want to own this collection..soon
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I don't think they still sell make-up :( I'm not sure because lately all they've been advertising are their make-up organizers. I suggest you invest in a higher quality palette rather than shelling out an equally expensive amount for this one
